2023 highlights

City of Guelph has begun construction on the South End Community Centre

The planning for the South End Community Centre (SECC) has been in the works since the early 2000s, and in October 2023, dreams became a reality when the City was able to celebrate the start of construction.

Improving urgent care for Guelph-Wellington

As part of the 2019-2023 Strategic Plan, the council approved the Response Time Performance Plan as a key element of the Building Our Future pillar. The Guelph-Wellington Paramedic Services (GWPS) is committed to reaching these targets, with patients’ wellbeing a top priority.

Baker District redevelopment helps to transform Downtown Guelph

June 2023 marked the start of getting shovels in the ground for the new central library at the Baker District redevelopment. This redevelopment, which started as a former municipal parking lot, is going to create a renewed area of activity and help revitalize Downtown Guelph.
