2023 highlights

City of Guelph is prioritizing transitioning fleet vehicles from gas powered to electric

The City of Guelph owns and operates a fleet of more than 1,000 powered vehicles and equipment assets used by 15 service areas. To support renewable energy and to become more environmentally sustainable, the City has been exploring ways to incorporate clean and efficient energy into its fleet.

Shaping the future of transportation in Guelph

Since the updated Transportation Master Plan was approved in January 2022, it has begun shaping the future of transportation in Guelph. It defines how residents and visitors will move around the city over the next three decades.

Enhancing Road Safety with Automated Speed Enforcement cameras

The City of Guelph began using ASE cameras in August 2023. Cameras were placed in school zones because they have high volumes of pedestrians and cyclists. One of the most effective ways to reduce the severity of a collision is by reducing vehicle speed.
